At bleu Market & Bakery, we are proud to offer a diverse menu with unique takes on classic American cuisine, novelty desserts and treats, and custom cakes.
Initially a restaurant concept, we opened bleu Market in 2007 in the basement of the Tiger Hotel as a testing ground for potential menu items as the bleu brand was being developed.
Our first restaurant opened in 2009 and remained open until 2015 when we closed the restaurant to focus on growing Bleu Events and Catering, the driving force behind our business from day one.
We have grown and evolved over the years into a full-service event and catering company that provides an array of services from contract food services and specialty meals to providing food for events for over 1,000 people.
Even as we’ve focused on and developed the catering side of the business, we have greatly missed having a restaurant. So in 2018, we combined the history of our first restaurant, bleu Catering, and the former Upper Crust Bakery to create bleu Market & Bakery, a quaint bakery and market perfect for a quick bite, a coffee meeting, or a relaxed brunch over mimosas.
Bleu Market & Bakery has a wonderful old world French style feel to the café itself with some modern twists and a touch of southern flair on the menu.

Cat has been baking custom desserts and cakes for over six years. Self-taught and trained by Hy-Vee, Cat was looking for an outlet for her creativity as well as an opportunity for growth when she found the baker position with bleu. She was a perfect fit to oversee the bakery operation, contributing a fantastic attitude, wonderful palette, and attention to detail. Cat is always excited to work with her clients and welcomes any baking challenge.
Layer cakes of any size, shape, or flavor! For the bleu Market & Bakery ribbon cutting, Cat went above and beyond Travis’s request for a seven layer cake. She created a cake composed of nine layers of vanilla and chocolate, frosted with her signature house-made butter cream frosting.
